How we handle your memories — and your data.
What we collect
When you order, our payment processor (Base44 Payments, powered by Wix) collects your name, email, delivery address and payment details to complete your purchase. We never see or store your full card number. When you request a free quote you share your name, email, and details about your collection — only what you choose to tell us.
Your photos
Your prints, slides and tapes are handled by our team in Chicago and scanned in a secure workspace. Digital copies are stored on encrypted local drives and a password-protected cloud backup for the duration of your project, and permanently deleted at your request after delivery.
AI-assisted restoration
Optional restoration uses AI tools to repair, color-correct and enhance your images. Your photos are processed only to complete your order and are never used to train any third-party models. You can decline AI processing at checkout.
Sharing
We never sell your data or your photos. We share information only with our payment processor and cloud storage provider as needed to fulfill your order, and we only feature your photos publicly with your written permission.
Retention
We keep a digital backup of your order for 90 days after delivery in case you need a re-download, then permanently delete it — unless you ask us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing customer.service@goldenhourmemorycompany.com.
